I love ideas desperately, and with my whole soul

I feel ready and willing to give my life to some ideas

I believe in a bright and limitless future - I believe it is not certain, but a product of the choices we make

I believe in beauty, with all of my heart and all of my soul

I feel other humans are fellow travelers, strange souls, little flickering conscious lights, to be treasured as we walk down a limitless inscrutably strange path together, and I bow inside quietly to everyone that I meet - we share a place in this whirling, chaotic universe

I believe in telling someone you love them every time, even when it’s not the right time or place, even when it’s dumb or inconceivably stupid - you should still say it with all of your heart, and that this love in all of its various forms is a kind of transcendence to be treasured and nurtured carefully, to be shielded as little flame from the roaring ocean and wind, and that sometimes it can grow into a warm and roaring hearth fire

I don’t believe in staying any longer at networking dinner parties than I absolutely have to, or worrying about anything more than it takes to get it done

I believe in my strange self, in my unknowable ways, in my baffling presentation, and I believe in standing far enough outside of society to let the light in

I believe in the wandering wild

The quiet that comes between two people when they know each other

I think you should be both goofy and serious - act as though the world depended on you, then as though nothing does and crack silly jokes

I believe in living every day as though it is the last day you will walk the earth

I don’t view learning as ‘learning’, rather as experiencing beauty with greater and greater precision

I believe that we are born with great gifts, and that with them comes responsibility

I grew up feral, outside of rules and hesitations, a little node not yet embedded in the matrix - I didn’t know what was impossible until people told me, and now that I’ve learned that I’m focused on unlearning it
